Rains and Greens-5

Its Elephant yam or Chena.  Its a common tuber in Kerala.  It has lot of medicinal qualities.  Its Scientific name is Amorphophallus paeoniifolius.  Its an inevitable part of Kerala cuisine and it has long roots with our lives too.  This plant is thriving in the rainy season.  Its planted by my father during his recent visit.
