Some positive thoughts

I am also posting some of my positive thoughts today. I am thank ful to Preethi Shenoy for this great attempt and wishing all the success in her writing career.
  • Among all I am grateful to have a loving partner who had given me all the facilities to have a space in the internet.
  • We had seen an accident scene in the main juction at Kundannoor at Kochi. A lorry that carried an Ammonia tank fell upside down. I feel more grateful to the god for not having any gas leakage and no deaths. The picture taken from the car its not clear because of the crowd. Cranes are trying to lift the lorry.

  • Friday is fruits day for my kids. Now we try different type of fruits for fridays. During this day they must eat only fruits in their snack time. Today we had raw dates, plum, pear, Guava, small apples and Pome granate. Today morning we got a parcel from my in law which contained big mangoes(they are calling them as 'roti manga') and home grown pine apples. Now we are blessed with nature. So much fruits which include home grown also. I am really grate ful to nature for having a nice day.
  • I am a follower of Art of living and try to do 'Sudarshan kriya' in between all the chores. I feel very grateful to do 'sadhana' with great devotion.
  • I feel very much grateful to have two vibrant sons who hold me so close to their hearts. Yesterday during our story time I had to tell them about death. Then the elder one told these words 'amma, Please don't die, I will cry louder and louder' . These made tears in my eyes.

manga

March-April was the time of mangoes. But whatever may be the reason mangoes are so costly now...
My son love to eat it in its raw form..It is a rich source of vitamin C. That may be the reason pregnant woman's carving for the raw mangoe. Fiber content of mangoe is greater than other fruits.
Its a saying in malayalam'makkale kandum mamboo kandum kothikkaruthu' .
Changes in climate change the time of fruits also. Manga and Chakka are all connected to our festivals....

Pacha manga...pacha manga

Yesterday Hari asked me about kilichundan manga. He was not so sure about the varieties of manga. He is not lucky enough to collect mangoes showering from the mango tree.

Kilichundan manga-Kilichundan manga has a brown shade in the main green colour and its tip is like a bird's beak. In my cousin's home we will gather in verandah and pluck the mangoes. Cut them in small cubes, mix them with chopped onions, chilli powder, salt and coconut oil. It was so tempting even to think about that gatherings. Uppu manga, kanni manga and enna manga are also my favourites. Pazhutha manga chammanthi is a main dish in my chitta's home at Kuttanadu. Manga thera is a very special item made by mango fruit.

Pazhutha manga-My father, hailing from Kuttanadu is also a great fan of Mangoes. He always squeeze 'manga pazham' into the rice and mix its juice with 'moru'and salt. Its also a variety taste of manga.
My husband's home is at Idukki, he knows more varieties of mango than me. Chakkakuru-mangoe is his favourite dish. Pazhutha manga pulisseri is a main dish in Vishu sadya.

Kannimanga (baby mangoes) My grandmother was so fond of kanni manga. She collects lot of kannimangs from road side during her routine temple visits. After thorough washing she will put all these mangoes, salt and boiled and cooled water to a glass vessel. Its a delicious accompany of Kanji.
